The AI Lab of the Vrije Universiteit Brussels invites applications for a PhD scholarship in computer science.

We are currently inviting applications for a phd scholarship in computer science. The applicant should perform research in the area of artificial intelligence, in particular research that is related to the expertise of one of the PIs of the AI Lab. In case you are interested in one of the following topics, please send me an e-mail

• Knowledge Representation and Reasoning
• Declarative Problem Solving
• The use of logic in computer science
• Search and Optimization (SAT solving, constraint solving, answer set solving, (mixed) integer programming), including topics such as proof logging, symmetry breaking

The succesful candidate is expected to contribute to teaching excercises sessions (in Dutch and in English). Hence, next to English, also proficiency in Dutch is required.
